Let's talk about billionaire cities.
It seems like every billionaire's new favorite hobby is to buy a city and impart their version of urban utopia. Whether it's Marc Lore (ex-Walmart) and his vision for Telosa, Bill Gates' dream of a Smart City in Tempe, AZ, or Elon Musk's Starbase, these as of yet unrealized cities will have tremendous implications.
Will this infusion of capital and attention allow these areas to flourish? Will they create opportunities for jobs and wealth creation for the locals? Or will they displace existing communities in the name of a "better city"?
